Each evening a young damsel sat at her spinning wheel, treadling steady while raw sheep’s wool twisted slowly into yarn beneath her fingers. As the wheel hummed, she spun her family a different kind of yarn too, a tale of a far off land where a prince who she had met and still meets many times. He had dreamy blue eyes with dark black hair and spoke so fiercely of the love he had for her. He vowed that very night he would come for her and take her to a far out lands.
