Ditch Your Resolution Day: Why We Make Them Anyway

I say let’s stop pretending.
Maybe it’s time to just give it up.

Even dragons don’t fly by rigid plans.
They fly when it’s time.
When the skies are right.
When the glitter says go.

Maybe today isn’t about resolutions.
Maybe it’s about listening for your wings.

Or… maybe just maybe…
there are reasons we make those resolutions in the first place.

Maybe we make them to prove to ourselves that we can succeed.
Maybe they’re a way of reaching for self-improvement.
After all, we all create goals, and a resolution is really just a goal with hope attached.

For me, I say keep going.
But I don’t walk in your shoes.

So on Ditch Your Resolution Day, decide what’s important to you and why you created those resolutions to begin with.
Then go for them. Don’t give up!

Because when you finally make it,
you’ll be glad you did.
