Born in Venice, Italy, in 1486, he devoted his life to serving the less fortunate after undergoing a profound personal transformation after a near-death experience. His work led to the establishment of schools and organizations aimed at providing shelter and education for these vulnerable children. He died at the age of 56, leaving a lasting legacy of love and generosity that continues to inspire many to this day.
