A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 383, Zimbabwe

Dear Heavenly Father, guide me to be the light that others need to find their way back to You, never hiding my light under a bushel basket. Grant peace within to those who seek it. I ask for Your protection and guidance over our country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone across the world. Inspire those in positions of influence, including our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders to embrace Your love and share it with others, fulfilling their roles as members of Your family. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your presence. Help us to see each other as You see us.

I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.

Lord Jesus Christ,
We thank You for Zimbabwe,
A land of plains and mountains,
Where Your Gospel was carried by missionaries with courage and hope.

We honor the Jesuit missionaries who came in the 16th and 17th centuries,
Who built missions among the Shona and Ndebele peoples,
And taught faith through schools, music, and community.
We bless the Dominicans and Franciscans,
Who established parishes in Harare and Bulawayo,
And walked with the poor in humility.

We remember the martyrs of Africa,
Missionaries and lay faithful who suffered violence in times of conflict,
Whose blood became seed for the Church.
We bless the families who kept the rosary alive,
Even in times of trial and exile.

And Lord, we lift up Zimbabwe’s needs:
Strengthen vocations to priesthood and religious life.
Protect Catholic schools and hospitals.
Encourage Eucharistic reverence and Marian devotion.
Heal wounds of poverty and division.
Let Your mercy flow through every parish and plain.

May Zimbabwe be a land of witness and courage,
A people of praise,
A nation prepared for Your coming.

Let Your Spirit fill the youth with purpose, and open doors of opportunity that anchor them in faith. May corruption be replaced with righteousness, and may every leader walk in Your light.

Thank you for praying with me throughout this first year of 3 a.m. prayer.
Your faithfulness — whether you prayed often or only once — has carried light into places we may never see. I’m grateful for every heart that joined in.

As we move into the next season, I’m hoping to make a few small changes to the format to help the prayers be easier to find and follow. The heart of it will stay the same.

Thank you again for walking this path with me.
May God bless you deeply for every quiet prayer you offered.
