A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 340, Syria

Dear Heavenly Father, guide me to be the light that others need to find their way back to You, never hiding my light under a bushel basket. Grant peace within to those who seek it. I ask for Your protection and guidance over our country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone across the world. Inspire those in positions of influence, including our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders to embrace Your love and share it with others, fulfilling their roles as members of Your family. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your presence. Help us to see each other as You see us.

I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.

Lord Jesus Christ,
We thank You for the land of Syria,
Where the Church was born in fire and fidelity,
And Your name was first spoken by trembling lips on the road to Damascus.
We honor Saint Paul, whose conversion still echoes through time,
And Saint Ignatius of Antioch, who walked toward martyrdom with joy.
We remember the Martyrs of Damascus,
Franciscan friars and lay Maronites who died in 1860 for refusing to renounce You,
Now canonized as saints, radiant with courage.

We bless You for the saints of Syria:
Saint Anicetus, Saint Eustathius, Saint Meletius, and Saint Nicholas of Myra,
For the hermits of the desert and the bishops of Antioch,
For the mystics of Laodicea and the martyrs of Hemesa.
We praise You for Saint Maron, whose shrine now welcomes pilgrims again,
And for the faithful who still gather in ruins and silence.

We thank You for the miracles:
The apparitions of Our Lady of Soufanieh,
Where oil flowed from her image and from the hands of Myrna Nazzour,
Where stigmata and healing were witnessed by doctors and priests.
We bless the sacred sites:
Saydnaya, Bab Kisan, St. Simeon Stylites, and the monasteries of Maaloula.

And Lord, we lift up Syria’s needs:
Comfort the persecuted and displaced.
Heal wounds from war, trauma, and exile.
Protect sacred places from destruction.
Strengthen the Church in Aleppo, Homs, and Damascus.
Let Your mercy flow through refugee camps and ruined chapels.

May Syria be a land of holy memory,
A people of praise,
A nation prepared for Your coming.
