As we begin this week, let’s keep Psalm 46:10 close to heart: “Be still, and know that I am God.”
God invites us into intimacy—not through noise or striving, but through quiet trust. He loves us and desires relationship. It’s in the stillness of soul, the stillness of the moment, the stillness while studying His Word, that we grow in holiness.
We’re not called to stay busy doing things for God. We’re invited to be with Him.
Remember Mary and Martha. Mary chose the better part—she rested at Jesus’ feet. That doesn’t mean Martha was wrong. But it does show us what Jesus desires most: our attention, our presence, our intimacy.
If you find it difficult to be still with God, pause and ask: What is distracting me? What is pulling me away from the One who simply wants to be with me?
Take this week to ponder what God is asking of you. Rest within His arms, acknowledging that you want that relationship too. And ask Him to aid you in receiving His peace.
