Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, with fervent hearts we passionately lift our voices in profound thanksgiving for Nigeria, a nation profoundly blessed by Your divine hand, from the sacred Arochukwu Caves to the vibrant city of Lagos, alive with Your incredible energy. We glorify You for the Christians fervently chasing Your Son, Jesus Christ, ignited by the remarkable Pentecostal growth of churches like Living Faith and the steadfast testimony of the Aladura movement. We thank You for the Calabar Carnival, which joyfully unites our communities, and the mighty Kainji Dam, which empowers Your people. Bless the exquisite artistry of the Igbo’s uli art, the majestic pride of the Durbar Festival’s equestrian show, and the stunning Benin Bronzes that keep Your cultural heritage alive. We are eternally grateful for Anambra’s thriving tech hub that nurtures innovation, and the beautiful adire textiles that sustain artisans through Your abundant provision.
In Your infinite compassion, please listen to our heartfelt cries for the needs of Nigeria. Grant food security to those who are suffering from hunger and provide safety to those displaced by conflict. Support our rural schools in overcoming teacher shortages and ensure that everyone, especially the underserved, has access to electricity. Protect Your creation from the devastation of floods and desertification, and stand against gender-based violence with Your unwavering justice. Guide our leaders toward resolving political instability, reforming judicial systems, and lifting restrictions on the press so that Your truth can shine. Heal the trauma with vital mental health care and nurture unity among various religious communities.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well, Eugenie, Clarence, Donald, John, Filomena, Margaret, Merle, Mel, and those who with needs that we meet on a daily basis, who sleep on sides of roads, sidewalks, under overpasses, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
Lord, please intercede between all peoples. Show them how resolve differences without fighting, rioting, or hurting one another. Open their/our eyes to the beauty in putting you first in our life and living with each other in peace. May we all understand that differing opinions don’t have to divide us; instead, let us work together to reach a common understanding. Thank you Lord for being here for me and everyone. Your presence is the beauty in our life.
We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your divine guidance for Pope Leo XIV. We ask that You make him Your pure vessel, filled only with Your Holy Spirit. Let no worldly influence, no force outside Your heavenly kingdom, sway his heart or mind from You. May every word he speaks be Your words, inspired by Your truth and perfectly aligned with the teachings of Your Holy Scripture. We pray that his will be wholly surrendered to Yours, reflecting only Your divine purpose and glory. Lead him, Father, to be a faithful shepherd under Your sovereign control and that Your angels will shield and protect him from all evil.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
