Turns out, scientists are discovering that it could be doing more than we realized—especially when it comes to Alzheimer’s. Researchers found that both alcohol use disorder and Alzheimer’s seem to spark the same kind of gene disruptions in the brain, messing with things like inflammation and how cells talk to each other. Kind of wild, right?

👀 This doesn’t mean one drink leads straight to memory loss—but it does raise eyebrows about how closely those paths might cross. The cool part? They used a super detailed zoom-in technique to look at individual brain cells. It’s like peeking into the brain’s control room and noticing shared glitches in both conditions.
