Saint John the Baptist, born to the elderly and devout Elizabeth and Zechariah, was a miracle child, foretold to prepare the way for the Messiah. As the cousin of Jesus, his life was deeply intertwined with the Holy Family, with his mother Elizabeth sharing a sacred bond with Mary during their miraculous pregnancies. Guided by divine purpose, John’s bold mission complemented the quiet humility of Mary and Joseph, pointing always to Christ, his kinsman and Savior, whose path he paved with unwavering zeal.
Day 5: Witness to the Light
Join us in this novena to honor Saint John the Baptist, the fearless herald of Christ, as we prepare for his feast on June 24th. Each day, we reflect on his life, pray for his intercession, and take action to grow closer to Jesus.
Reflection: John was not the light but came to testify to the light (John 1:7-8). We, too, are called to reflect Christ’s light in a dark world.
