Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.
Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly ask that You guide me to be the light that others long for to find their way back to You, ensuring I never hide my light under a bushel basket. Please grant peace within to those who are yearning for it. I seek Your protection and guidance over our beloved country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone around the globe. Inspire those who hold influence in their hands—our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders—to embrace Your love and share it generously with others, fulfilling their vital roles as cherished members of Your family. Help them to hold on to Your Word and return to it often, keeping You at the center of their lives. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your comforting presence. Help us to see one another through Your eyes.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Heavenly Father, Creator of heaven and earth, we approach Your throne with reverence, lifting up Greece and its people, whom You have richly blessed. As outsiders, we intercede with gratitude for Your gifts and plead for Your guidance in their trials. We praise You for Greece’s 13,676 km coastline, the longest in the Mediterranean, cradling 227 inhabited islands in Your embrace. Thank You for the Cycladic blue-and-white architecture, glowing under Your sun, and the Zagori stone bridges, standing firm without mortar in Your mountains.
We glorify You for the Oracle of Delphi, once called the world’s navel, and Mount Athos, where monks honor You, joined by Catholics in Corfu, once two sides of the same heart until the Schism, venerating the Theotokos, Mary, Mother of God, in shared devotion. Bless the makers of feta cheese, a culinary treasure, and the distillers of tsikoudia, fostering community in Crete. We honor the retsina wine tradition, echoing ancient craftsmanship, and Ochi Day’s defiance in 1940, a stand of Christian fortitude. Thank You for Corfu’s Venetian-Greek old town, Skyros’s bell-clad carnival, and the 2024 tourism boom, reflecting Greece’s enduring appeal under Your providence.
But Lord, Greece cries for Your touch. Break the chains of public debt, at 160% of GDP, freeing its economy for Your abundance. Ease the pressures of an aging population, sustaining pensions and workforces with Your strength. Stabilize banks weakened by bad loans, and reform labor markets, where rigid taxes stifle growth. Dismantle oligopolies that block innovation, and reduce energy dependency, shielding Greece from crises. Improve education, lifting students above PISA’s low scores, to equip them for YourUBC calling.
Father, unite Greece’s people, from Thessaloniki to Crete, in Your love. We thank You for the heritage and beauty You’ve poured into this land, a testament to Your creativity. May Greece rise as a light to the nations, guided by Your hand.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well: V Bonano, M Toler, Klumpp family, B Houghes, M Fulkerson, E Beauchamp, people throughout the world, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
We humbly come before You, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom to be upon the cardinals as they prepare to vote for Pope Francis’ successor. May their decision be inspired by You and reflect Your will.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
