Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.
Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly ask that You guide me to be the light that others long for to find their way back to You, ensuring I never hide my light under a bushel basket. Please grant peace within to those who are yearning for it. I seek Your protection and guidance over our beloved country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone around the globe. Inspire those who hold influence in their hands—our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders—to embrace Your love and share it generously with others, fulfilling their vital roles as cherished members of Your family. Help them to hold on to Your Word and return to it often, keeping You at the center of their lives. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your comforting presence. Help us to see one another through Your eyes.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of praise, lifting up the nation of Ghana and its people, whom You have blessed abundantly. As those outside this land, we stand in awe of Your works in Ghana and intercede for its future. We thank You for Ghana’s historic independence in 1957, the first in sub-Saharan Africa, igniting hope across a continent. We praise You for its unique place near the Prime Meridian’s crossing and the tranquil Dodi Island, where music welcomes visitors to Lake Volta, Your grand creation, the largest man-made lake on Earth.
Lord, we celebrate the Akan tradition of naming children by their birth day, a reflection of Your order, and the vibrant Kente cloth, its patterns weaving stories of Your truth. We honor the Adinkra symbols, like Sankofa, guiding us to wisdom, and the oral histories of Dagbon’s drummers, preserving Your legacy. Thank You for Mole National Park’s walking safaris, Nzulezu’s stilt village, and Paga’s sacred crocodiles, where Your creation and culture unite. We rejoice in Ghana’s warm hospitality, the rhythmic Ewe drumming, and Highlife music, lifting spirits to You.
We give thanks for Kwame Nkrumah’s Pan-African vision, the Fugu fabric’s craftsmanship, and the salt panners of Ada, whose labor glorifies You. Bless the oyster harvesters of Cape Coast, the healers with their herbal wisdom, and the artists of the Chale Wote festival, transforming streets with color. We marvel at Wli Waterfalls’ bat cave, Bono Manso’s ancient trade routes, and Ghana’s cyber security leadership, shining as Your light in Africa.
Yet, Father, we see Ghana’s struggles and plead for Your mercy. Cleanse its institutions of corruption, especially in governance, and raise leaders who seek justice. Provide jobs for the youth, where one in seven is unemployed, and lift the rural poor, where a quarter languish below the poverty line. Grant clean water to the half of rural Ghanaians without it and build sanitation to protect health. Heal the land from deforestation’s scars, restore air and water from pollution’s toll, and comfort those with HIV/AIDS, expanding access to care.
Lord, stabilize Ghana’s banks, where loans falter, and extend roads and energy to rural hearts. Empower rural women with education and opportunity, and guard against climate change’s floods and droughts. Strengthen schools with vocational skills and ensure healthcare for all, easing financial burdens. May Your Spirit guide Ghana’s path, uniting its people in peace.
Additionally, we confidently seek Your support for those facing the challenges of high living costs and unemployment. These financial pressures can be significant, yet we trust in You. We are deeply grateful for Your steadfast love and care, and we call upon You to supply the resources necessary for these individuals to flourish and achieve peace.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well: S “TN” Lockwood, For the people, HV, MF, Doug, DT, JDV, people throughout the world, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
We humbly come before You, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom to be upon the cardinals as they prepare to vote for Pope Francis’ successor. May their decision be inspired by You and reflect Your will.
We also lift up Pope Francis’ soul to You, Lord, in gratitude for his faithful service and devotion to Your calling. May he rest in Your eternal peace and glory.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
Amen.
