Navigating the World of Books: A Personal Journey

There are so many books that it feels like an endless stories and knowledge waiting to be explored. I love books because they are full of information. The problem I run into with books, though, is that I never seem to have enough time to finish every one I would like to read, no matter how determined I am or would like to become. According to AI, there are somewhere between 200 million to 300 million unique book titles throughout all of recorded history, which makes the task of selecting what to read next all the more daunting. Each title shows a piece of creativity, a different perspective, and a chance to learn something new, yet I find myself often torn between my commitments and my passion for reading.

There are many genres of books. Here a list of different list of genres. I am sure that this can be changed into other genres:

      • Zend Avesta (Zoroastrianism)

Based off of the above, I enjoy a wide array of religious texts, including those from Judaism, Christianity, and maybe even Islam to some degree, as they offer profound insights into different cultures and should be closely related. I am only interested in how closely they align with each other along the Christian viewpoint. Alongside these spiritual works, I have a inclination for educational literature that expands my understanding of the world, as well as fantasy novels that transport me to magical realms filled with adventure and wonder and breaks me from becoming too serious. Young adult fiction can be of interest to me due to its closeness to fantasy while simple mystery novels keep me on the edge of my seat with their plots and unexpected twists which give me something else to consider about life. As for non-fiction, I generally stay clear of crime-related topics, preferring narratives that delve into history, science, or personal development. I generally like books that have been around for ages, as classics like Aristotle’s philosophical thoughts, Mark Twain’s humorous tales, the writings of the Apostles and early church leaders, along with the timeless wisdom found in Aesop’s Fables, give a depth and richness.

What’s your favorite genre of books? And are you like me that you don’t know where to begin or stop?
