Embracing Simplicity: Happiness in the Present

Ever get a phone call or read something and just say, “Enough! – Ya! Suficiente! Basta! Ya! ¡No más!” That’s where I am today. I have had enough of all the noise. Enough of the fighting and arguing. Enough of competing to be number one. Yep. Enough!

We labor. We toil. We move on! Sometimes we just have to say enough. I am not going to be involved in that anymore. It is not my affair, nor is it important in the grand scheme of things to fight. There comes a point in one’s life when we just have to stop, turn around, and wonder. That’s where I am.

At that point it is time to evaluate your life and decide where your priorities lie. Do you need anything or do you have enough? Are you going the direction you should be going or is there a better path?

There is nothing in this life that I need to achieve for which I need to get into petty arguments over or experience strife. I have everything I need or want in my life. And besides, if I don’t have it now, will I really truly miss it? The most important things are already here. I don’t need a big fancy house or that retirement with money dripping out of my pockets. I don’t need to keep up with the Joneses. I have my needs met. I have my family. I have my health and all the other things, large and small. I no longer want to be part of any drama.

I am happy being me. I am happy being with my husband and family. I am just happy being. That’s all I need. I just need to enjoy this moment, this second, minute millisecond in life. That’s a great achievement compared to others who are still searching for something greater and chasing the elusive moment of happiness.

  2. I like to walk with God in the kis world ( keep it simple ). There is much less stress in that world.

As well, I know who I am in Christ so there is no need to impress anybody else

    1. Thanks! I’ll try to remember
