The Sacrifice of Faith: Eucharist in China

I thought I would write today about the Eucharist and a little girl’s belief in it, that she was willing to die for it. It occurred in China many years ago. As we know in China there is no freedom to have a religion as far as I know. Or maybe you say the religion is the country. This will be abbreviated story. I will put links in the bottom after I find the story.

The way I heard the story is that her family was a very devout Catholic family. The military came in and killed a lot of people and imprisoned the local priest. She hid from the military. The military ransacked the church and destroyed everything within. That’s when they captured the priest. The hosts were knocked to the ground and scattered.

She stayed hidden, only to come out at night. Each night she would sneak into the church and pick up a Eucharist. Anyway, from what I remember, as she entered the church stealthily and was picking up one of them, a soldier heard a noise from within, only to find her grabbing one. At that moment, her life ended.
