Heartfelt Love Note: A Letter Across the Miles

Dearest loves,

I want to let you know how much I love you. You brighten my life and help to give it meaning. You are there when I need a listening ear or need to be corrected. The miles keep us apart but each breath I take I think of the moments we have spent together and it gives me reason to be.

I look forward to when we are together again. We will share in each other’s presence knowing that the wait was nothing compared to the time and love we have for each other.

As time wanes on and days shorten, I am only warmed by the thoughts of you. Your smile, your giving heart, and your being carry me through the dreariness of life. Each day I go out and gather wood for the fire, and my little puppy jumps and meanders vicariously in the field. Surely I will see you soon.

In the mornings when the dew is on the grass, I tend to the animals before working in the garden. Thankfully the summers heat is disappearing and I can work longer in the fields. I will need to get all of the garden put away before winter sets in. There is so much to do. But, in you knowledge that you are well I am at rest.

Dearest loves, I must end my note before I head into town to send this message across the sea so that you will have it before long. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
