As I sit here contemplating the Truth of the world, the vastness of creation overwhelms me. I think of all that has come into being over time…the inventions, the discoveries, the ideas that reshaped how we live and see.
I cannot help but think of Galileo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Wright brothers. And what about Socrates, Sir Francis Drake, and Alexander the Great?
These were all great men. They looked to the future with curiosity, just as the figure in the image gazes through the telescope, surrounded by symbols of wonder. Each of these minds asked questions. They looked beyond themselves and opened their hearts to the endless possibilities that still shape our world.
And yet, most of us move through life caught in the day-to-day, rarely pausing to consider how we might change lives – our own or someone else’s. Many long for ease, but hesitate to reach for something greater. Whether it’s fear, doubt, or weariness, I couldn’t say.
But I do believe this: Life is not meant to be lived in motionless repetition. It is meant to be met. To be opened. To be surrendered.
We are invited to meet the challenges before us, not alone, but with the guidance of a Being greater than ourselves. When we stop striving and start listening, the path begins to unfold. Not always easily, but always faithfully.
