What could you do more of?
That’s a question, isn’t it? More of what? Let’s fantasize a bit. How about we create the perfect day where everything is what we get to do more of?
First thing in the morning, I would sit outside on our deck just drinking my chai tea and my husband his coffee while we ate breakfast. I would want the day to feel fresh and crisp. We would sit there enjoying the day, admiring what little we have while planning our day.
He always says he is going to take it easy. I have to laugh. The day he does nothing will be the end of the world. I, on the other hand, am always planning something. But I know how to rest.
But, let’s continue with my day… After breakfast, I would make sure I have gotten my day started right by saying my prayers. That’s the most important thing for me to do.
As I write, I am realizing that what I could do more is my Saturday. I could do Saturday every day of the week. And I think I would want it to be the first Saturday of the month. Because the first Saturday is a little different from other Saturdays. On the first Saturdays, we have 1st Saturday masses in the morning, which means our breakfast would be a little later.
As a matter of fact, Sundays would be awesome if Monday didn’t follow. I would like to do things at my own pace. I want not to have to report to someone else who only wants you to do a job but doesn’t truly care about you. We all know those jobs.
I want to volunteer where I am needed and tutor foreigners in English. I want to make other people’s lives better. I want to be there for others. I want to give. That’s what I would do more of.
