So often we believe we want what others have or be like them. But we should relish in the joys of knowing we are weird or different. So what if we are not like others. We are not meant to copy the world. And besides it would be a boring world if we were all alike.
Everyone of us unique. We are all one body with many parts. And just as the hand can not do the job of the heart or foot, neither can we be something we are not meant to be. Imagine many dancers gracefully moving about in a well choreograph performance. Each dancers has his own purpose. One will take the lead while others will add beauty to dance by their movement and grace. What if they all decided to something other than their purpose. It would make the whole performance to become disjointed and clumsy. No one would enjoy it.
We are much the same. We are all special and unique. We should celebrate our differences and uniqueness. Hold that badge of honor when you hear someone say something that sounds derogatory for you know that you were made for your greatness. What they perceive we should be should not matter to us. We are not meant to be that part of the body. We should celebrate our uniqueness and come together as one.
Just as beating on the wall won’t make it become the door you want to go through, neither will conforming to words of others make us any more like others. You can either continue to beat on the wall or you can go another way. FYI. I beat that is not the only door. Find the right door for you.
