Christmas Blessing #2: Peace — Part of the Nine Blessings of Christmas
The angels’ song still rings: “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” (Luke 2:14). Jesus’ birth heralded peace—not the temporary absence of conflict, but a profound reconciliation between humanity and God. The Prince of Peace entered a world torn by sin and strife, offering shalom: wholeness, restoration, and harmony.
In our chaotic lives—rushed schedules, fractured relationships, inner turmoil—this peace feels especially precious. Jesus doesn’t just give peace; He is peace (Ephesians 2:14). Through His coming, the barrier of sin was shattered, inviting us into God’s presence without fear. No matter the storms around you, His peace guards hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).
This Christmas, let His peace rule. Lay down anxieties at the manger and trust the One who calms seas.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled.” John 14:27
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, flood my life with Your calming presence. Bring peace to my relationships and quiet to my soul. Amen.
