A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 341, Syria

Dear Heavenly Father, guide me to be the light that others need to find their way back to You, never hiding my light under a bushel basket. Grant peace within to those who seek it. I ask for Your protection and guidance over our country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone across the world. Inspire those in positions of influence, including our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders to embrace Your love and share it with others, fulfilling their roles as members of Your family. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your presence. Help us to see each other as You see us.

I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.

Lord Jesus Christ,
We thank You for the land of Syria,
WherHeavenly Father,
We bless You for the grace You’ve poured into Syria,
A nation of prophets and pilgrims,
Where Scripture was lived before it was written,
And the Church took root in blood and blessing.

We thank You for the sacred places—
Straight Street, where Paul was led in blindness,
Bab Kisan, where he escaped in a basket,
St. Simeon’s column, where prayer rose like incense,
And the monasteries of Maaloula, where Aramaic still echoes Your name.

We honor the saints who walked these lands:
Saint Luke, Saint Pelagius, Saint Abraham of Kidunja,
The bishops of Antioch and the desert fathers,
The lay martyrs of Laodicea and Mesopotamia.
We praise You for the Martyrs of Damascus,
Canonized in 2024, a sign of hope for Christians in Syria and beyond.

We thank You for the apparitions of Our Lady of Soufanieh,
For the oil that flowed, the wounds that bore witness,
And the messages of unity, repentance, and love.
We bless the pilgrims who return to St. Maron’s shrine,
And the faithful who rebuild with prayer and perseverance.

And Lord, we lift up Syria’s needs:
Renew the Church in every province.
Protect Christians from persecution and despair.
Heal the land from violence and division.
Raise up leaders rooted in Scripture and sacrament.
Let Your mercy flow through every monastery and market.

May Syria be a land of memory and mission,
A people of praise,
A nation prepared for Your coming.
