A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 335, Suriname

Lord Jesus,
We thank You for the land of Suriname,
Where rivers wind through rainforest and city,
And the Gospel echoes in many tongues.
We honor the missionaries who came with courage,
Who built churches, schools, and clinics in Paramaribo and the interior.
We remember the indigenous and Maroon believers,
Who welcomed Your Word and passed it on in song and story.

We bless You for the cathedrals of Paramaribo,
For the Moravian missions in the jungle,
For the chapels built by hand in villages and towns,
And for the choirs that sing in Dutch, Sranan Tongo, and Javanese.

We praise You for the diversity of Your Church,
Catholic, Moravian, Pentecostal, Evangelical.
For the Christian charities that serve the poor,
For the pastors who shepherd with love,
And for the youth who rise in joyful worship.

We rejoice in the civic witness of believers—
In education, reconciliation, and care for creation.
In the Christian media that spreads hope,
And the families who pray in kitchens and fields

And Lord, we lift up Suriname’s needs:
Heal wounds from colonialism and division.
Renew the faith of the weary and the young.
Strengthen rural churches and sacred spaces.
Protect religious freedom and Christian symbols.
Let justice and mercy rise in every province.

May Suriname be a haven of peace,
A people of praise,
A nation prepared for Your coming.
