A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 333, Sri Lanka

Lord Jesus,
We thank You for the land of Sri Lanka,
Where the ocean meets ancient chapels,
And the faithful walk in quiet courage.
We honor the martyrs of Easter Sunday 2019,
Who died in churches while praising Your name.
We remember the missionaries who brought the Gospel,
And the believers who still gather in hidden places.

We bless You for the Cathedral of St. Lucia in Colombo,
For the shrines of Madhu and Wahakotte,
For the churches built by Portuguese and Dutch hands,
And for the choirs that sing in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.

We praise You for the diversity of Your Church—
Catholic, Anglican, Methodist, Pentecostal.
For the Christian charities that serve the poor,
For the pastors who shepherd with love,
And for the youth who rise in joyful worship.

We rejoice in the civic witness of believers—
In education, reconciliation, and care for creation.
In the Christian media that spreads hope,
And the families who pray in homes and fields.

And Lord, we lift up Sri Lanka’s needs:
Heal wounds from war, persecution, and poverty.
Renew the faith of the weary and the young.
Strengthen rural churches and sacred spaces.
Protect religious freedom and Christian symbols.
Let justice and mercy rise in every province.

May Sri Lanka be a haven of peace,
A people of praise,
A nation prepared for Your coming.
