Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, we bow in gratitude before Your throne for New Zealand, a land adorned with Your creation’s splendor, from the majestic Fiordland National Park to the soaring Aoraki/Mount Cook. We praise You for the Kiwis who worship You, guided by St. Peter Chanel, Oceania’s first martyr, whose blood in 1841 seeded Your Church. Glory to You for Venerable Suzanne Aubert, whose miracles of healing draw souls closer to Your heart, and for the Eucharistic Miracle of Auckland, inspiring devotion. We thank You for the crosses of light in Auckland’s windows, seen as Your divine signs, and the mysterious hitchhiker proclaiming Your Son’s return. Bless the Māori culture’s haka, the Waitangi Treaty fostering unity, and the kiwi bird, a marvel of Your design. We are grateful for Catholic missions serving the poor, the Te Papa Museum preserving Your heritage, and the rugby culture uniting communities in Your love.
Yet, O merciful God, we seek Your grace for New Zealand’s needs. Renew Your Church by increasing attendance and aiding through worship – growth. Protect coastal communities from rising seas and strengthen infrastructure against climate threats. Provide homes for those who need them and mental health care for adults seeking Your peace. Lift the children out of poverty, address Māori health inequities, and combat gender-based violence with Your justice. Guide leaders to resolve judicial backlogs and ensure Your truth prevails. May Your Holy Spirit pour out faith, healing, and unity across Aotearoa, through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well, Eugenie, Margaret, Clarence, Marcus, Ania, those who with needs that we meet on a daily basis, who sleep on sides of roads, sidewalks, under overpasses, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
Lord, please intercede between all peoples. Show them how resolve differences without fighting, rioting, or hurting one another. Open their/our eyes to the beauty in putting you first in our life and living with each other in peace. May we all understand that differing opinions don’t have to divide us; instead, let us work together to reach a common understanding. Thank you Lord for being here for me and everyone. Your presence is the beauty in our life.
We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your divine guidance for Pope Leo XIV. We ask that You make him Your pure vessel, filled only with Your Holy Spirit. Let no worldly influence, no force outside Your heavenly kingdom, sway his heart or mind from You. May every word he speaks be Your words, inspired by Your truth and perfectly aligned with the teachings of Your Holy Scripture. We pray that his will be wholly surrendered to Yours, reflecting only Your divine purpose and glory. Lead him, Father, to be a faithful shepherd under Your sovereign control and that Your angels will shield and protect him from all evil.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
