Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.

Heavenly Father, Almighty God, through Your Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, we come before You with thankful hearts for the land of Mozambique—a place You have adorned with wonder. From the long stretch of its coastline kissed by the Indian Ocean, to the wild grace of Gorongosa National Park, Your fingerprints are everywhere.
Thank You for the faith that lives in this land—for the 55.8% who call themselves Christian, and the 28% who walk the Catholic path, carrying forward the legacy of Portuguese Jesuits who first shared Your story centuries ago. We remember with love the Martyrs of Chapotera—Fr. João de Deus Kamtedza and Fr. Sílvio Moreira—who gave their lives in 1977. Their courage still whispers strength into the hearts of many.
We’re grateful for the harmony among neighbors—Christians, Muslims, and traditional believers—who live side by side with respect. For the schools run by churches, where children learn not just to read, but to hope. For the fiery joy of peri-peri dishes, the soul of Makonde dances, and the promise held in natural gas reserves. Thank You for the growing heartbeat of tourism, and for the treasure of Ilha de Moçambique, where history is held with care.
And yet, Lord, we know this land carries heavy burdens.
We ask You to lift up the families living in poverty—especially in rural places where life is hardest. Open doors for young people seeking work, and bring healing to those battling HIV/AIDS. Let clean water flow where it’s needed most, and let healthcare reach the forgotten corners.
Hold close the Christians in Cabo Delgado, where fear still lingers. Bring peace, like You did in 1992, and let it take root again. Calm the storms, protect the forests, and raise up leaders who serve with honesty and compassion.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well, Rebecca, Denise, Paul, Ivan, Jose, Jorge, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
Lord, please intercede between all peoples. Show them how resolve differences without fighting, rioting, or hurting one another. Open their/our eyes to the beauty in putting you first in our life and living with each other in peace. May we all understand that differing opinions don’t have to divide us; instead, let us work together to reach a common understanding. Thank you Lord for being here for me and everyone. Your presence is the beauty in our life.
We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your divine guidance for Pope Leo XIV. We ask that You make him Your pure vessel, filled only with Your Holy Spirit. Let no worldly influence, no force outside Your heavenly kingdom, sway his heart or mind from You. May every word he speaks be Your words, inspired by Your truth and perfectly aligned with the teachings of Your Holy Scripture. We pray that his will be wholly surrendered to Yours, reflecting only Your divine purpose and glory. Lead him, Father, to be a faithful shepherd under Your sovereign control and that Your angels will shield and protect him from all evil.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
Amen.
