Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.
Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly ask that You guide me to be the light that others long for to find their way back to You, ensuring I never hide my light under a bushel basket. Please grant peace within to those who are yearning for it. I seek Your protection and guidance over our beloved country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone around the globe. Inspire those who hold influence in their hands—our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders—to embrace Your love and share it generously with others, fulfilling their vital roles as cherished members of Your family. Help them to hold on to Your Word and return to it often, keeping You at the center of their lives. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your comforting presence. Help us to see one another through Your eyes.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Heavenly Father, Creator of all that is good and beautiful, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up the nation of Guatemala and its people in prayer. As those outside this land, we stand in awe of Your abundant blessings upon the “Land of Eternal Spring,” a testament to Your glory. We thank You for Tikal National Park, where ancient Mayan pyramids rise through Your jungles, echoing Your timeless wisdom. We praise You for Lake Atitlán, its volcanic shores cradling vibrant villages, and Antigua Guatemala, where colonial arches and Semana Santa processions honor Your Son.
Lord, we celebrate the rich Mayan heritage, with 21 dialects weaving Your diversity, and Volcán Pacaya, where molten lava reveals Your power. We marvel at Semuc Champey’s turquoise pools, a jewel in Your creation, and the Chichicastenango Market, alive with colorful textiles. Thank You for the intricate huipils, each thread a story of Your people, and the chicken buses, painted with joy. We honor the cacao revered as “food of the gods,” the quetzal bird soaring as Your symbol of freedom, and the All Saints’ Day Kite Festival, where kites lift prayers to Your heavens. We give thanks for pepián, a stew uniting Mayan and Spanish hearts.
Yet, Father, we see Guatemala’s struggles and humbly seek Your aid. Lift the burden of poverty, where over half live on $6.85 a day, bringing abundance to Your children. Formalize labor for the 80% in informal work, granting stability, and empower women, where only one in three joins the workforce. Include the Indigenous and rural in Your prosperity, and strengthen weak infrastructure to connect Your people. Improve rural healthcare, delivering clinics to remote villages, and protect Guatemala from earthquakes and volcanoes, rebuilding what is lost.
May Your Spirit guide Guatemala’s leaders and people, uniting them in Your peace. We thank You for the countless ways You’ve blessed this nation, from its ancient ruins to its vibrant markets. Cover Guatemala with Your grace, and let Your love shine through its people, from Tikal to Antigua.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well: people throughout the world, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
We humbly come before You, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom to be upon the cardinals as they prepare to vote for Pope Francis’ successor. May their decision be inspired by You and reflect Your will.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
