Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today. Thank you for what you do for me each and every day and for that which I fail to notice. Thank you for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that you shield and protect them and guide them in this life. Bring them safely home to you. Let them know that you are there for them. Never let me forget your presence in my life and guide me safely through this life.
Lord, I humbly seek your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young, helping them appreciate the sacred gift of marriage and the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing a life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the special bond of marriage, as well as the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.
Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly ask that You guide me to be the light that others long for to find their way back to You, ensuring I never hide my light under a bushel basket. Please grant peace within to those who are yearning for it. I seek Your protection and guidance over our beloved country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone around the globe. Inspire those who hold influence in their hands—our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders—to embrace Your love and share it generously with others, fulfilling their vital roles as cherished members of Your family. Help them to hold on to Your Word and return to it often, keeping You at the center of their lives. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your comforting presence. Help us to see one another through Your eyes.
I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.
Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord of all nations, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up the nation of Greece and its people in prayer. As those outside this land, we stand in awe of Your abundant blessings upon Greece, a beacon of Your glory. We thank You for its pioneering democracy in Athens, birthing governance that shapes the world, and for the philosophical giants—Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle—whose ideas reflect Your wisdom. We praise You for Greece’s Christian heritage, where St. Paul sowed seeds of faith in Corinth and Thessaloniki, and Orthodox and Catholic hearts, once two sides of the same heart until the Schism, venerate the Theotokos, Mary, Mother of God, uniting all in Your love.
Lord, we celebrate the warm philoxenia that welcomes strangers as family, and the Mediterranean diet, a gift of health recognized by UNESCO. We marvel at the Meteora monasteries, perched on Your rock pillars, and the evil eye charm, blending faith and tradition. Thank You for Crete’s soulful lyra music, echoing poetic mantinades, and the pomegranate rituals that mark weddings with hope. We honor the Samothrace Nike, a testament to Hellenistic art, and Navarino Bay’s ecological haven, home to rare birds. We give thanks for Symi’s sponge divers, whose craft honors Your seas, and the vibrant Karpathos festival, where women lead in Your name.
Yet, Father, we see Greece’s struggles and humbly seek Your aid. Cleanse its governance of corruption and tax evasion, raising leaders who walk in righteousness. Provide jobs for the unemployed, especially the youth, where one in five lacks opportunity. Streamline public administration, untangling bureaucracy that hinders progress, and clear court backlogs to deliver swift justice. Strengthen rural healthcare, bringing modern care to remote islands and villages. Heal the land from wildfires and floods, and guide waste management to preserve Your creation. Grant wisdom to address economic inequality, lifting the rural poor from austerity’s shadow.
May Your Spirit guide Greece’s leaders and people, uniting them in Your peace. We thank You for the countless ways You’ve blessed this nation, from its ancient legacies to its vibrant present. Cover Greece with Your grace, and let Your love shine through its people, from Athens to the smallest island.
Dear Lord, we fervently ask You to grant peace to all those restless souls awake at this hour of night. We seek Your divine assistance for those on the prayer list, including every cherished individual mentioned earlier, as well as those listed on this website’s prayer list. Please include these individuals as well: S “TN” Lockwood, For the people, B Ebelhar, J Calhoun, TO, M Tippmore, people throughout the world, and those in hospitals and their families, and help teens grow closer to You, those with mental disabilities, those who are lost or confused about Your existence, and people with Alzheimer’s and terminal illnesses, and the number of men and women entering the religious life.
We humbly come before You, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom to be upon the cardinals as they prepare to vote for Pope Francis’ successor. May their decision be inspired by You and reflect Your will.
We ask that you fill our places of worship to overflowing and that perpetual adoration chapels are filled at every hour of the day, every day of the week. Additionally, please shield and protect our clergy. Give them the strength to carry on and follow you more closely and not lose sight of the mission which you have given to them. We lift up every heartfelt intention and unspoken plea buried deep within us. In your sacred name, we pray. We adore you, and with every passing day, may our love for you grow deeper and more profound.
