Saint Paul of the Cross

He was born in Ovada of Republic of Genoa on January 3, 1694. His feast day is 10/20. He died in Rome in 1775 and canonized by Pope Pius IX in 1867.

Saint Paul of the Cross founded the Barefoot Clerks of the Cross and the Passion (or the Passionists) in 1720. He spent much of his prayer life to the Passion of Christ.
