Saints Isaac Jogues, Jean de Breneuf, and Companions

They are the first recognized as the first martyrs of the New World. They came to the New World believing it was the calling from God. They endured much torturing proclaiming the faith.

They began their work in the New World in 1636. Isaac taught literature in France as a Jesuit. The Iroquois imprisoned Father Jogues for 13 months.
