Have you ever felt the world is collapsing? Or felt the world was filled with TOO MUCH-too much noise – too many people talking nonsense or too many things. Just too much!!!
You just wanted to go to a deserted island or a cave where no one can find you. Where you can get some peace and quiet.
I understand. Right now the world seems like it wants to tilt over on its side. All the known truths which are proven and have been accepted for centuries we are being told are false. 1+1=3, 4, or whatever you like at the moment. Gotcha! Completely understand.
Some times you just have to find sanity. Not an echo of the noise of the world’s thoughts bouncing off every object that exists in this crazy world. You do not have to engage yourself into this craziness .
I’m going to share with you what I found that has brought sanity back to me. I ask you to keep your mind open. I’m going to bring you somewhere very special. A place where you can find sanctuary from this world.
Where do you go if you can’t go to the deserted island or a cave? I found for me going to the chapel. It is my go to place. I find it rejuvenating and refreshing. It gives me space where I can get away from it all.
I’m not saying you will walk in and spend five minutes and everything is solved. What I am saying is-it is there where I find where I feel restored.
I sit there in His presence and tell him about everything that is going on. Yeah, I know he already knows everything. He sees it all. But He wants to have a relationship with you. He wants to spend time with you.
I go to the adoration chapel because it separates me from the world. It is always quiet. There is a calmness and peace that overtakes you with the more time you spend with Him.
Take your time while there to meditate, to journal, and/or to pray. I become more focused on what’s really important. And it’s not this world. It’s my relationship with the Blessed Trinity.
