I only knew that it was cheerful, easy to sing, and nearly impossible to sit still through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can still remember us girls singing and dancing through the house as we cleaned it. I was one of the younger ones, so I was not in charge of much, but that never stopped me from joining the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of us would always grabbed an imaginary microphone. Someone else became the drummer, guitarist, or whatever instrument the moment required. Broom was the microphone stand.  A hairbrush, wooden spoon, or couch cushion could become part of the band without the slightest argument.  Whatever we needed to put away was always the tool for the songs that we sang.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was no audience, no stage, and certainly no rehearsal. Just a group of girls singing far too loudly, dancing through the rooms, and acting as though the radio had personally invited us to perform in order to get the house clean before Mom or Dad got home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time, it was simply a fun song along with many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, when I hear it, I do not just hear the melody. I see the house full of movement. I hear the laughter.
