Thanksgiving<\/a> week always softens my heart. I love the holidays. They slow me down just enough to notice the people who slip into my days carrying warmth, joy, and the kinds of simple moments that make life feel lighter. This is the time of year when gratitude rises naturally \u2014 not for the big things, but for the steady, everyday blessings that walk beside me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This past week was full of those gentle joys.
My husband and I had our now-famous fudge experience<\/em> \u2014 the kind of kitchen misadventure that turns into a family legend. It still makes me laugh when I think about how one pan of fudge took on a life of its own. Then my oldest got me out of the house to watch a women\u2019s basketball game \u2014 and our girls won! That alone filled me with such bright happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then there was Mary.
After receiving her soaps from our Etsy shop, she sent a heartfelt compliment that touched me more deeply than she probably realized. It was a small kindness, yet it made my whole day feel brighter. Isn\u2019t it wonderful how God uses people \u2014 even unexpectedly \u2014 to whisper encouragement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Thanksgiving is especially meaningful because I took the entire week off<\/strong>. Not just from work, but from the rush, the noise, and the constant motion. I allowed myself to breathe, to rest, and to be present with the people I love. I want this holiday season to feel extra special, not because of what gets done, but because of the heart behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been working on lots of handmade gifts \u2014 little treasures wrapped in thoughtfulness and love. My two sons are doing well, and our daughters are thriving in their own beautiful ways. Watching each of them continue to grow, learn, and settle into the adults they\u2019re becoming fills me with joy. And the grandbabies\u2026 oh, they are happy, healthy, and growing so quickly. Their laughter, their little milestones, their joy \u2014 it all fills my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, more than ever, I realize how exceptionally blessed<\/strong> I am.
I may not have every single thing I could want, but I have everything I truly need: family, love, purpose, laughter, faith, and the gentle grace that carries me from one day to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are my favorite people \u2014 the ones whose presence brings light into my life.
And for them, I am deeply, quietly thankful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
