I am not sure of its origination. But, it\u2019s sentiment is strong. When Life is Tough<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6d4bf443b7a2dc899766616d681b1eb4 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"af309\" style=\"color:#000000\">The below poem I heard often as a child. I don\u2019t remember whether it is from my mom or dad. But, I can remember it being recited frequently. Funny thing is &#8211; although I didn\u2019t pay huge amount of attention to my parents &#8211; this stuck. I can almost recite it verbatim. Oh, how love them two!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-02e033638b28cb7e1f9c41d1eca16a3f wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ac71o\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-97dd1f9cbbf95394050c2ce4342f1052 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"7lsh6\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>When the road you\u2019re trudging seems all uphill,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-09265896c738ea58411a639d3dcaa46c wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"fh9dj\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>When the funds are low and the debts are high,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-adc749d335ea39cabb81902d930bc621 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"7l11u\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-493c0aaa988370ef1095fd7ad99f4cc6 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"1n1ru\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>When care is pressing you down a bit,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a6f8f76238d5bb8b4efd28f92159cd5a wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"2d1cc\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>Rest, if you must, but don\u2019t you quit.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bd762bee2f70bb6e163a9f6a09327f51 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"89l46\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>Life is queer with its twists and turns,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-969787fd868660a011ae1f008fbc5c19 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"cr63e\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>As every one of us sometimes learns,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-192790ce0352bef3c23e12c3d2e3514a wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"dc3dc\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>And many a failure turns about,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b8eaae4cd1c0c5b1f3a4d2c2e11dc8d2 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"8es4q\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>When he might have won had he stuck it out;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ecd6b0522f08671faf248ccfbc00fa2c wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"a9p55\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>Don\u2019t give up though the pace seems slow-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f5a82f26e3ceddafd4ffbed09e9f73d3 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"d6r66\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>You may succeed with another blow.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-11b557c9c720621c49cf3553f54b1903 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"1ru4h\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>Often the goal is nearer than,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a1c2aa45fcccfc2e335e8b7115a60708 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"f4shr\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>It seems to a faint and faltering man,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ea29eb3aaa2b3fafedbb7563f6b2d637 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"3el9i\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>Often the struggler has given up,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e3b5f1d2653015b1ba61ba108fb95e1f wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"5gj8g\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>When he might have captured the victor\u2019s cup,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e8d4fc90ce74eea338d0331879fdd062 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"5abae\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>And he learned too late when the night slipped down,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2dc1d48b0ca0b70e64608145a298cda3 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ahbda\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>How close he was to the golden crown.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9a9d7a5b2e22587d88e0d1698065c4e2 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"br0ea\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>Success is failure turned inside out-<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-573639f204bae02487b2dda8653cd353 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"3kv59\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4c3af0b3538773e7fd048b95dbac9bb4 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"1a9pb\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>And you never can tell how close you are,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b64bc3876d87942299be990fd132c03b wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"24gr9\" style=\"color:#000000\"><em>It may be
