Oh, what a glorious day it was in that meadow, romping around with the other sheep, our shepherd keeping us safe. The sun was shining down, warming my woolly coat, and the clouds up above were making all sorts of shapes that just tickled my heart. Butterflies were dancing in the breeze, and the air smelled so sweet, like honeysuckle blooming nearby. I was having the time of my life, hopping from one soft patch of grass to another, just soaking in the beauty of it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, you know how it goes…I got a bit distracted. I spotted a cloud that looked just like me, a fluffy little sheep floating in the sky, and I couldn\u2019t help but chase after it, my hooves bouncing with joy. Then, out of nowhere, this darling brown bunny hopped by, and I thought, \u201cWell, I\u2019ll just follow him a bit!\u201d I didn\u2019t even notice I\u2019d left the meadow until my wool started catching on prickly briars. And just like that, the bunny was gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was lost, plain and simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My heart started racing, and I ran in circles, zig zagging through the trees, hoping I\u2019d find my way back. But the woods just got darker, and oh, the sounds-wolves howling, bears rustling somewhere close. I was so scared. In my panic, I slipped and fell, tumbling down a rocky ravine. My leg throbbed, and as night started to creep in, I felt so alone and scared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I curled up tight, trying to make myself small, praying nothing would find me. I thought of my flock, all safe with the shepherd, and my heart just broke. I\u2019d been so silly, chasing after clouds and bunnies, and now here I was, hurt and afraid, thinking I\u2019d never see home again. I was sure I\u2019d be eaten by some wild thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, oh, little did I know, my shepherd had seen I was missing. He left the others and came looking for me, calling my name with such love in his voice. He wasn\u2019t scared of those wolves or bears-his staff kept them at bay. He pushed through the thorny woods, never stopping, never giving up on me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At first, I couldn\u2019t hear him over the eerie noises and my own fear. But then, his voice came through, soft and strong, like a promise. I was so afraid to bleat, thinking the wolves might hear me first. But he kept calling, and I couldn\u2019t hold back-I let out a shaky little cry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He heard me! His steps got faster, crunching through the leaves, and he found the edge of that ravine. I bleated again, and when he looked down and saw me, I swear I felt his love even from there. He leaned over, reaching with his staff, and its crook caught me so gently. He pulled me up and wrapped me in his arms, holding me close. I wasn\u2019t scared anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re safe, my lamb,\u201d he whispered, and I felt all my worries melt away. He carried me through those dark woods, back to the meadow, and right to the pen where my family was waiting, nearby bleating with joy. Snuggled in his arms, I knew how much he loved me\u2014a love so big he\u2019d faced all that danger just for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back with my flock, with my shepherd watching over, I felt so grateful. I\u2019d wandered off, but he brought me home, and I\u2019ll never forget that love that found me when I was lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
