Thank You for today. Thank You for all that You do for me each and every day, including that which I fail to notice. Thank You for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that You shield and protect them, guide them in this life, and bring them safely home to You. Let them know that You are always with them. Never let me forget Your presence in my life, and guide me safely through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, I humbly seek Your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young. Help them to appreciate the sacred gift of marriage. May they value the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the bond of marriage. May they also embrace the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dear Heavenly Father, guide me to be the light others need to find their way back to You, never hiding my light under a bushel basket. Grant peace within to those who seek it. I ask for Your protection and guidance over our country, our political officials, our clergy, and people throughout the world. Inspire those in positions of influence. Encourage our leaders, entertainers, athletes, and business leaders to embrace Your love. Help them reflect it to others as members of Your family. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your presence. Help us to see one another as You see us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I ask for conversion and mercy for all sinners, and mercy for the souls in purgatory. I joyfully pray for the healing of the sick, trusting in Your will. Help those who are walking through life’s trials and tribulations, showing them the light and strength to carry on. Thank You, Lord, for the abundant life You have given me. I ask that Your angels fiercely protect us from the powers of evil that challenge our world, including the archangels appointed over each nation. Dear Almighty God, The Philippines rises before You as an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands a land of ,mountains, volcanoes, coral seas, and communities bound together by faith, family, and resilience. You remember, Father, the arrival of Christianity on March 17, 1521, when Magellan\u2019s expedition reached Cebu and introduced Catholicism to the islands . You remember the planting of the cross, the first baptisms, and the earliest Masses celebrated in the archipelago.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You can reflect on the incredible legacy of the missionary orders that built the Philippine Church: the Augustinians, Franciscans, Dominicans, Jesuits, and Recollects, who joyfully established parishes, schools, and hospitals, significantly enriching Filipino Catholic identity for generations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You remember the revered saints of the Philippines: St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint whose unwavering faith inspires countless hearts; St. Pedro Calungsod, the brave young Visayan catechist whose life was a testament to courage and sacrifice in Guam; and the noble Japanese martyr Bl. Jacobo Kyushei Tomonaga, whose selfless service in the Philippines before his tragic death ignites a flame of devotion and heroism within us all. You remember these and all the Filipino people.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You can feel the deep-rooted devotions that shape the heart of Filipino Catholic life: the Black Nazarene procession in Quiapo, an extraordinary event that draws one of the largest gatherings of the faithful in the world; the vibrant Sinulog festival celebrating the Santo Ni\u00f1o of Cebu, a cherished symbol that represents the oldest Christian heritage in Asia; and the profound Holy Week traditions that beautifully intertwine Spanish, Indigenous, and Asian expressions of faith, creating a rich tapestry of belief that is distinctly Filipino.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bless the Catholic Church in the Philippines, the third\u2011largest Catholic population in the world after Brazil and Mexico .
