Thank You for today. Thank You for all that You do for me each and every day, including that which I fail to notice. Thank You for taking care of my family, friends, and acquaintances. I ask that You shield and protect them, guide them in this life, and bring them safely home to You. Let them know that You are always with them. Never let me forget Your presence in my life, and guide me safely through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, I humbly seek Your favor. Please touch the hearts of the young. Help them to appreciate the sacred gift of marriage. May they value the delicate sounds of children. Enlighten their vision to see the profound beauty in sharing life with someone they love deeply. May they be open to the joys and sorrows that come with the bond of marriage. May they also embrace the unique joys and challenges that children bring into their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dear Heavenly Father, guide me to be the light others need to find their way back to You, never hiding my light under a bushel basket. Grant peace within to those who seek it. I ask for Your protection and guidance over our country, our political officials, our clergy, and people throughout the world. Inspire those in positions of influence. Encourage our leaders, entertainers, athletes, and business leaders to embrace Your love. Help them reflect it to others as members of Your family. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your presence. Help us to see one another as You see us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I ask for conversion and mercy for all sinners, and mercy for the souls in purgatory. I joyfully pray for the healing of the sick, trusting in Your will. Help those who are walking through life’s trials and tribulations, showing them the light and strength to carry on. Thank You, Lord, for the abundant life You have given me. I ask that Your angels fiercely protect us from the powers of evil that challenge our world, including the archangels appointed over each nation. Dear Heavenly Father,\u00a0Lord, Pakistan rises before You as a land of deserts, rivers, mountains, and extraordinary human resilience, a nation shaped by the Indus River, the Himalaya and Karakoram, the fields of Punjab, the coastlines of Sindh, and the courage of families who live their faith quietly and steadfastly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You remember, Father, the ancient Christian memory connected to lands east of Persia, the tradition of St. Thomas the Apostle traveling toward the Indian subcontinent, and the early trade routes that carried Christian teaching through territories now belonging to Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You remember the missionaries who built churches, schools, clinics, and mission stations, who taught children, cared for the sick, and formed the first local Christian families who became the foundation of parish life.<\/strong> You remember the religious sisters who educated generations of Pakistanis, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, and Sikh, and whose convent schools remain respected institutions across the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You remember the priests, catechists, and lay leaders who traveled to rural communities, taught the Rosary, strengthened families, and built Christian neighborhoods in Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Multan, and beyond.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bless the Catholic Church of Pakistan, its two metropolitan archdioceses in Karachi and Lahore, its dioceses in Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Islamabad\u2011Rawalpindi, and Multan, and its apostolic vicariate in Quetta. Bless the bishops who cooperate through the Pakistan Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference to shepherd a small but faithful flock.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bless the parishes that serve both cities and villages, the priests who travel long distances, the sisters who provide healthcare and education, the seminarians preparing for priesthood, the youth groups, women\u2019s groups, and choirs who strengthen parish life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bless Mariamabad, the City of Mary, Pakistan\u2019s great Catholic pilgrimage site, where families walk for miles, carry Marian banners, pray the Rosary, bring petitions for healing, and gather in September for one of the largest Catholic events in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Heavenly Father,<\/strong> we lift before You Pakistan\u2019s Catholics<\/strong> as they face poverty, discrimination,<\/strong> and the dangers associated with blasphemy accusations.<\/strong> Protect families,<\/strong> grant justice,<\/strong> and strengthen communities<\/strong> who live their faith with courage and dignity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We remember Akash Bashir, the young man who said, \u201cI will die, but I will not let you go in,\u201d<\/em> and gave his life to stop a suicide bomber from entering St. John\u2019s Church in Youhanabad. He is now a Servant of God, Pakistan\u2019s first official candidate for sainthood.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n And Mary, Mother of Pakistan, Mother of the persecuted, Mother of those who pray in Urdu, Punjabi, English, and Sindhi, wrap this nation in Your mantle as gently as dawn over the Indus River. Let Your peace rest on Pakistan. Let Your love strengthen its people.
