At first, I thought I could simply write down ten destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ireland. Italy. Austria. Perhaps Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But choosing a destination is not always that simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people travel for rest. Others travel for adventure. Some want beaches and sunshine, while others would happily wander through old churches, historic neighborhoods, village markets, gardens, and buildings that have stood for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I realized that I did not merely want a list of famous places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to know which places might speak to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where might I see something that changes how I understand history, faith, creativity, other people, or even myself?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So instead of beginning with ten destinations, I began with twenty questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
