{"id":137,"date":"2018-01-13T11:13:29","date_gmt":"2018-01-13T16:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/myallaboutyou.com\/?p=137"},"modified":"2026-08-25T13:43:00","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T18:43:00","slug":"the-farmer-johnny-popper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/my-all-about-you.com\/en\/2018\/01\/13\/the-farmer-johnny-popper\/","title":{"rendered":"The Farmer &amp; Johnny Popper"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">Once there was a farmer who went out to the fields every day.&nbsp; Frequently, he went in the rain.&nbsp; His days were long and hard.&nbsp; The blistering sun would beat down on him during the hot summer days.&nbsp; He always took his trusty companion with him to seed, and to plow the fields.&nbsp; Everyone called his friend Johnny Popper.&nbsp; You see Johnny was large and massive. &nbsp;He always puttered around making a popping sound. &nbsp;Anything he was called upon to do, he would just jump to it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">When the farmer first began his partnership with Johnny both were in their prime.&nbsp; You would always see the two together in the fields, working diligently to get the job done.&nbsp; They could tackle most anything, even pulling down large trees together.&nbsp; They each knew how to tackle their job.&nbsp; Sometimes, when the farmer wasn\u2019t feeling well, Johnny would get a break.&nbsp; But, he was always there for the farmer.&nbsp; And when Johnny needed a bit of loving, the farmer knew right what to do.&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">As the years wore on, the farmer began to work with others.&nbsp; Johnny was still there, but he had seen his best years behind.&nbsp; Passersby would see Johnny and comment to the farmer how his trusty companion wasn\u2019t quite up to par anymore.&nbsp; The younger ones were more efficient and quicker to the jump.&nbsp; But, the farmer kept Johnny around because he knew that Johnny even with all his aches and pains still could get the job done when he was up to par.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">As the farmer grew older, so did Johnny.&nbsp; Neither of them were what they used to be.&nbsp; Johnny popped more and his jump was more pronounced.&nbsp; Some days Johnny was barely able to move if he even moved at all.&nbsp; Finally there got to the point when Johnny mostly sat.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Until one day, when a young fellow saw value in Johnny.&nbsp; He took him on and diligently worked with Johnny helping get the job done.&nbsp; You see, this new fellow understood Johnny.&nbsp; He didn\u2019t require Johnny to work so hard.&nbsp; He didn\u2019t have the large fields that needed to be worked. &nbsp;He just needed Johnny to help him with his small garden and work around the yard.&nbsp; You see Johnny was a tractor, a large green 1954 John Deere tractor.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3024\" height=\"4032\" data-attachment-id=\"139\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/my-all-about-you.com\/en\/img_2339\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/my-all-about-you.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/img_2339.jpg?fit=3024%2C4032&amp;ssl=1\" data-orig-size=\"3024,4032\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-meta=\"{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;1&quot;}\" data-image-title=\"Johnny Popper at Rest\" data-image-description=\"&lt;p&gt;This image captures a weathered green tractor\u2014affectionately known as Johnny Popper\u2014parked on a grassy patch in a rural setting.
