Hello everybody!

So what are your plans for the weekend?!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think I\u2019m heading back to the 70s and 80s. I\u2019ve been watching a lot of YouTube lately, and honestly. There\u2019s too much garbage. Too much he said\/she said. I want to have some fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been listening to that music all week. Life was so much simpler then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was younger, we slept with the windows open. The cool breeze would soften those hot, humid summer nights…a summer breeze <\/a>that made everything feel fine<\/em>. Space heaters and the fireplace kept us warm in the winter. We\u2019d run around outside playing tag all hours of the night. We lived life as if it was More Than a Feeling<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But enough about the past. We didn\u2019t have a Crystal Ball<\/em> <\/a>to see all the things heading our way. Or we might have stayed there. Lol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now today? Times have changed so much, it\u2019s hard to figure out which way is up. If you listen to the news or scroll through social media, it\u2019s easy to feel lost. It\u2019s like a Bridge Over Troubled Water<\/a><\/em>.
Some days<\/a> are diamonds, and some days are stones.
Some days, it might make me want to be All By Myself<\/em>.<\/a> I’m thinking of deserted island like Gilligan’s Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So this weekend, we\u2019re going to live in the past and be in the present because time has long gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come! Come with me! Let\u2019s reminisce about the past while enjoying the moment.
Turn your music up high…high enough to shake the house off its piers!
Let\u2019s Groove<\/a><\/em> tonight.
Dancing in the Moonlight<\/a><\/em>, just like we used to.
Don\u2019t Stop<\/a><\/em> thinking about tomorrow. But, don\u2019t rush it either.
Come on! Come with me! Come Sail Away<\/em> <\/a>with me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll keep doing what I\u2019ve been doing all week except the work. That part?
I\u2019m leaving in the future on a jet plane<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tonight, my husband and I are enjoying some beautiful music and debating whether to sip Peanut Butter Whisky or open a bottle of Moscato. I\u2019ve been baking cookies in the evenings, and I\u2019ve got several sets made. The house smells sweet, the music is flowing, and it\u2019s shaping up to be a Lovely Day<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday Morning to Evening: A Love Song in Motion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I rise in the morning, I\u2019ll be sure to thank…God Bless Saturday<\/em>.<\/a>
Then we might head out to spend a little Saturday in the Park<\/em>,<\/a> just to see what\u2019s happening at the Destrehan 53rd Annual Fall Festival.<\/a> I\u2019m hoping for laughter, maybe a funnel cake, and a few friendly faces. I know O’Neill Apiary<\/a> will be there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A moment of connection and celebration\u2014friends and strangers sharing joy under open skies.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Tonight already feels like Saturday in the Park<\/em> <\/a>music flowing, cookies cooling, and no rush to be anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By evening, I\u2019ll slip away to the adoration chapel, letting the quiet settle in. Afterward, I\u2019ll spend the rest of the night with Saturday Love<\/a><\/em> songs playing softly in the background. And if the air is cool enough, I just might light a little fire and let the flames dance along with the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Somewhere between Dancing in the Moonlight<\/em> <\/a>and The Lion Sleeps Tonight<\/em>,<\/a> we will find our rhythm. A little wild, a little sleepy, and full of joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday Morning: A Sacred Start<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday morning comes with a hush.
The music softens, the light shifts, and the world feels just a little more still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll rise early, not to rush, but to ready my heart.
There\u2019s something about getting up for church that steadies me. It\u2019s not just routine. It is rhythm. A quiet walk to the car, the hum of the heater, the hush before the first hymn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes it\u2019s Amazing Grace<\/a><\/em> that meets me first. Reminding me that even in the noise, I am found.
Other times, I hear My Father\u2019s Eyes<\/a><\/em> in my spirit, and I remember what I\u2019m called to reflect: kindness, mercy, and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a weekend of music and memories, this is my reset.
A moment to say thank you. To listen. To be still and know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when I come home, I\u2019ll carry that peace with me maybe with a warm cup of coffee, a leftover cookie, and a little Easy Like Sunday Morning<\/em> <\/a>playing in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
