A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 336, Suriname

Heavenly Father,
We bless You for the grace You’ve poured into Suriname,
A nation of rivers and revival,
Where liturgy meets longing,
And holiness is carved into memory and song.

We thank You for the missionaries of the 18th century,
For the Moravian brothers who lived among the Wayana and Ndyuka,
For the believers who walk in Your truth,
And the saints whose names are known only to You.

We praise You for the sacred places—
The Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral,
The mission stations of Albina and Brokopondo,
The altars built beside banana trees and boats,
And the chapels that rise in the jungle and the city
.

We rejoice in the rhythms of worship—
In Dutch, Sranan Tongo, Hindi, and Javanese,
In the liturgies of Catholics, charismatics, and evangelicals,
And in the youth ministries that stir revival.

We honor Suriname’s civic witness—
Its care for the poor, its interfaith dialogue,
Its Christian charities and mission outreach,
And its public prayers for peace and unity.

And Lord, we lift up Suriname’s needs:
Provide spiritual renewal for every generation.
Expand care for the elderly and vulnerable.
Foster unity among Christian communities.
Preserve sacred sites and oral traditions with reverence.
Let Your mercy flow through every street and sanctuary.

May Suriname be a land of memory and mission,
A people of praise,
A nation prepared for Your coming.
