A Prayer for God’s Blessings on Families, Nations, and the World, Day 292, Russia

Dear Heavenly Father, guide me to be the light that others need to find their way back to You, never hiding my light under a bushel basket. Grant peace within to those who seek it. I ask for Your protection and guidance over our country, our political officials, our clergy, and everyone across the world. Inspire those in positions of influence, including our leaders, entertainers, sports figures, and business leaders, to embrace Your love and share it with others, fulfilling their roles as members of Your family. Help them to cling to Your Word and/or turn back to Your Word so that You are always their focus. May their light shine brightly, drawing others into Your presence. Help us to see each other as You see us.

I ask for the conversion and mercy on all sinners and have mercy for the souls in purgatory and all the faithfully departed. I pray that you heal the sick if it be your will. I pray that you help those who are having a hard time. Help them walk with you through those trials and tribulations in their life. Thank you, Lord, for the life you have given me. I ask that your angels fight fiercely against the powers of evil that beset our world, including the archangels of each country. Please bring your peace to every country and peoples.

We honor Saint Matrona of Moscow, blind yet full of vision,
Saint Elizabeth Romanov, who forgave even unto death,
Saint Basil the Blessed, whose tomb stands in Red Square,
And Saint Herman of Alaska, who carried Your Gospel across oceans.

We rejoice in Russia’s iconography tradition,
In the choral liturgies that echo heaven’s praise,
And in the resilient faith communities that rose from ashes.
May Your Spirit continue to stir hearts toward confession and communion.

And Lord, we ask Your healing for Russia’s wounds:
Restore families still aching from Communist trauma.
Draw young people into prayer and discipleship.
Protect religious freedom for all who seek You.
Let integrity rise in governance, as urged in 1 Timothy 2:2.
Revive confession, prayer, and Gospel witness, as in Psalm 85:6
